Structural stability estimation

Initial data for direct problem solving is depth-velocity model consists of the local-homogeneous layers, separated by horizons. Direct kinematical problem is estimation of travel times from the specified set of layers with well-known velocities. It is efficient for the tasks of modeling and testing of algorithms, survey planning, as a part of depth-velocity model building etc.

Current horizon was picked on the time section. Velocity spectrum was computed and picked along this horizon.

Direct problem was solved for the depth-velocity model with removed structure. New pick of velocity spectrum was computed. It is doesn’t match the bright spots in the local place, where structure was removed. It means, that structure is real and proven.
