Article "Development of native Prime software: a new stage in industrial seismic data processing"

The first issue of the journal "Devices and Systems of Exploration Geophysics" for 2024 published an article:

Development of local Prime software: a new stage in industrial seismic data processing

Our company has never replicated technologies implemented in Western processing systems, but has always developed independently, in accordance with the concept of "depth interpretative seismic data processing" based on the layered velocity-depth model of the environment. This is not always clear to native geophysicists, who are used to work in foreign software analogues and often follow the concept of so-called "time processing" (or the processing based on the average velocity model).

However, it is necessary to note that for the last decade Western companies have also been developing their products in the direction of "depth processing", which has become the mainstream, and is fundamentally different from the "time processing". The local geophysical market has begun to realise the advantages of this approach and actively implement this technology only in recent years.
