Seismotech will present a paper at the Russian oil and gas conference SPE-2020

Seismotech will present its paper "Method of multivariate seismic tomography based on stochastic analysis of input data reliability" at the Russian oil and gas technical conference SPE-2020, which will be held in Moscow for the first time in an on-line format in October 26-29, 2020.

Nowadays the seismic tomography is one of the main tools for a depth velocity model building. Its result mainly determines the geometry of the resulting reservoir model, which subsequently used in calculation of oil and gas reserves and field development design. For obvious reasons, the accuracy of reservoir model is rather limited, and its analysis is critically important. However tomography is a deterministic procedure which does not allow us to estimate the reliability of the obtained results, but which affect the economic decision-making directly & subsequently.

The report will describe the method of multivariate seismic tomography that allows to determine the reliability of the obtained model. The main focus is the nonuniqueness, generated by the quality of input data.
