The presence of multiple waves in the registered seismic wavefield is one of the main problems of seismic exploration, significantly affecting the possibility of data processing & interpretation. It is believed that multiples create problems mainly in marine data. This is due to the fact that the sea bottom is a very contrasting acoustic boundary, forming multiples with intense energy. On land, surface-related multiples have significantly less energy, as they are influenced by shallow part multiple times. The main problem for land observations is posed by internal multiples. In this work, based on synthetic data, an analysis of the above theses and their proof is presented
