The problems of taking into consideration the effects of frequency-dependent absorption, correction of these effects during processing, modeling of wave propagation in inelastic media, investigation of wave attenuation parameters and their interpretation have been recognized as the most important tasks of seismic exploration for a long time. A great number of articles and books have been devoted to these questions, and there are many algorithms and applications designed to solve these tasks, although many theoretical and applied issues remain unresolved.
