It has been almost two years since the release of Prime 4.1. During this entire period, the version has been actively developed and tested, and we are pleased to announce the release of version 5.0.
Users who follow our news on social media are already aware of some of the new features. Below we will briefly list the main ones.
- The data storage structure in the project directory has been completely redesigned. This has made it possible to unify and simplify work with all data types, primarily seismic data. At the same time, the backward compatibility has been preserved — older projects will be able to be opened in the new version of Prime (the Figure 1 below)
- The JobWizard has been enhanced with the ability to construct job chains. For each task, launch parameters are pre-configured (processing objects and computing resources). This eliminates the need to constantly switch between Liman/JobWizard/Builder3d applications to run routine procedures, allows visualizing the seismic data processing sequence on a tablet, and provides the option to obtain the final result with a single button click (the Figure 2 below).
- There is no longer a need to think about the coordinate type for 3D data (whether they are global or local).
- Q-tomography and Q-migration technologies have been implemented.
- Many tools have been added for working with first arrivals (FirstBreaksPickingPlus, FirstBreaksTomography2D, FirstBreaksTomography3D, FirstBreaksModeling).
- Numerous new modules have been added (FxyFilter, QCAttributes, etc.), and the performance of existing ones has been improved (MultiChannelEditing, AbsorptionCorrection, AbsorptionEstimation, Shift, SlidingSubtraction, etc.).
This is just a small part of the changes. In addition, extensive work has been done on:
- Improving program performance (significantly accelerated reading of data in non-native sorting due to the use of Data Reader Server technology, accelerated writing to the 2D model database),
- Enhancing the user interface,
- Removing unnecessary objects (profiles, ReadCube/WriteCube modules),
- Adding many minor but very useful tools that facilitate the processor's work (3D data spectrum pickers, histograms, cross-plots, advanced visualization settings).
