Seismotech, Ltd. will present reports at the International Conference “GeoEurasia-2024. Exploration technologies - science and business”

The International Geological and Geophysical Conference "GeoEurasia-2024" will be held on March 11-13, 2024. The conference is scheduled in a hybrid format (offline and online).

Within the International Geological and Geophysical Conference "GeoEurasia-2024" we are pleased to invite you to attend the following reports:

1. Analysis of frequency-dependent absorption parameters in seismic data processing.

The speaker: Ovchinnikov Kirill, Leading geophysicist, Seismotech Ltd.

The authors: Anisimov Ruslan, Finikov Dmitry, Ovchinnikov Kirill, Shalashnikov Andrey

The questions of considering the effects of frequency-dependent absorption, correcting these effects during data processing, modeling of wave propagation in inelastic media, investigating wave attenuation parameters and their interpretation have been recognized as the most important tasks of seismic exploration for a long time. These questions are devoted to a huge number of articles, there are many algorithms and programs designed to solve these problems, although many theoretical and applied questions remain unsolved.

The task of consideration of the effects of frequency-dependent absorption can be divided into two principal stages: analysis of the frequency-dependent absorption and questions concerning the correction of distortions arising in the absorption process.

This paper is devoted to the first part, namely, it considers various algorithms for obtaining absorption parameters from seismic acquisition data.

2. Correction of frequency-dependent absorption effects in seismic data processing.

The speaker: Ovchinnikov Kirill, Leading geophysicist, Seismotech Ltd.

The authors: Anisimov Ruslan, Finikov Dmitry, Ovchinnikov Kirill, Shalashnikov Andrey

The task of taking into consideration the effects of frequency-dependent absorption can be divided into two principal stages: analysis of the parameters of frequency-dependent absorption and questions concerning the correction of distortions arising in the absorption process.

This paper is devoted to the second part, namely: it deals with different types of parameterization of frequency-dependent absorption, their relation, as well as with the possibilities of modern algorithms in the field of correction of frequency-dependent absorption effects.
